For my portrait project I wanted to focus on shadows and how symbolic they are. It shows how every person has light and dark inside of them and how it's always possible to find the light. Playing with different techniques to create varied shadows would show personality and variation, differentiating them from each other. I plan to shoot with my models wearing a vibrant shade of red lipstick for saturation but I think that I want to make them all black and white in the end. I also wanted to include one picture at the end of a rainbow going across someone's face to show the beauty of light and to finish it off with idealism, no darkness. For my studio shots I want to shoot on the black background and use various models for different shadows. For out of studio, I want to use my brothers to show gender variation and possibly a model at the pool with a natural shadow or palm tree leaf across her face.
