Portrait Concept

My concept for the portrait project is relationships, good and bad.  I want to convey the emotions that other people can bring into our lives including, happiness, hope, love, fear, and longing. For each shot I want to make body language a main focus in the photo with decisions like whether the model will be tense or relaxed, what parts of their body will be shown in the shot, and whether the expression they are showing will be genuine or not. In terms of lighting I would like to use the lighting to emphasize the eyes, facial expressions, and hands. I would like to use shadows to my advantage. They can create shapes that move your eye through the photo as well add another element of importance to the figure that is casting the shadow. I would also like to use black and white for some of my photos.
