There reason why this candid is so unsuccessful is because there is no focal point or person in front of the camera. I could have gotten closer and have had better timing when the swimmer was passing by. The focus of the photo is on in the background but you focus in the foreground. To fix this i could have gone to the end of the lane and gotten a proper photo is timing and focus. This photo would have been much better have I implemented all of these corrections.
