I believe that the concept of the image is to show the repetition that is shown in the image. The repetition of the arches and the light that comes out of the windows make a great repetition that goes backwards and forwards from my eye.  The absence of color in the image make me focus on the light repetition and I can also focus on the arches that repeat.
